Dr. Hosey graduated from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan, in 1977, and earned his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (now known as the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine) in Independence, Ohio, in 1981. He finished his training with a residency at St. John North Shores Hospital in Harrison Township, Michigan.
Dr. Hosey is board-certified in foot and ankle reconstruction surgery, and has shared his expertise in lectures across the county and publications in numerous medical journals. He’s a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Michigan State Podiatry Association.
Outside of his work at Hosey and Murphy Foot & Ankle Centers, Dr. Hosey is also on staff at a number of prestigious hospitals across Michigan, including Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Ascension St. John Hospital in Detroit, Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center in Mount Clemens, and Saint Joseph Mercy Health System serving southeast Michigan.
Dr. Hosey is also active in the community beyond his medical practice. He has served as the president of the Mount Clemens Rotary Club and the Selfridge Air National Guard Base Community Council. He’s also involved in a number of charitable organizations. One of his favorites is Angel Flight, which gives him the opportunity to fly medical patients throughout the United States when needed.
